Sep 2, 2025 | News

On Tuesday, 23 September 2025, from 13:30 to 15:00 CEST, a Parallel Event titled “Unlocking the Potential of Integrated Photovoltaic Systems – European R&D Approach” will take place during the 42nd European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition (EU PVSEC 2025).

What is EU PVSEC?

EU PVSEC is the longest-standing and premier international conference and exhibition devoted to the fields of photovoltaic (PV) research, technology, and industry. Celebrating its 42nd edition this year, it will be held from 22 to 26 September 2025 at the BEC Bilbao Exhibition Centre in Bilbao, Spain.

Session Overview: Integrated Photovoltaics in Focus

The “Unlocking the Potential of Integrated Photovoltaic Systems” session will explore how Integrated PV (IPV) can accelerate Europe’s sustainable energy transition through innovative applications in buildings, vehicles, agricultural landscapes and more.

Key components of the session include:

  • Strategic insights from experts at ETIP PV and IEA‑PVPS Task 15 on research priorities and international collaboration.
  • Presentations from four European R&I projects: INCREASE, MASS‑IPV, SEAMLESS‑PV, and SPHINX, showcasing project outcomes and innovations.
  • A panel discussion addressing the pathways to accelerate IPV deployment, strengthen R&I–industry links, and define aligned priorities at European and international levels.
  • A focus on technical challenges and opportunities for IPV across sectors.

This session exemplifies EU PVSEC’s unique role in catalyzing innovation, tech transfer, and policy guidance in photovoltaic systems. IPV’s integration into our built and mobile environments is central to realizing Europe’s climate-neutral future, and this roundtable will spotlight both progress and the road ahead.
