The MASS-IPV project is pleased to support the upcoming SOL(AR)CHITECTURE Essentials training course, taking place in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, on 18-19 September 2026, immediately following EU PVSEC 2026 (14-18 September), which will also be hosted at the World Trade Center Rotterdam.
This two-day training and capacity-building activity focuses on BIPV as a construction element, developed by SUPSI within the MASS-IPV project. The course is organised by SUPSI in partnership with the Becquerel Institute, in collaboration with Fraunhofer ISE, BIPV Nederland and SUNSOAK Design.
The training is designed to connect photovoltaic knowledge with architectural design, construction practice, façade integration, stakeholder coordination and real project implementation. It is particularly relevant to professionals who want to better understand how solar technologies can be integrated into the built environment from the earliest design stages.
Why this course matters
BIPV requires more than technical PV expertise. It calls for collaboration between architects, engineers, façade specialists, product developers, construction teams, project managers, real-estate professionals and PV companies.
SOL(AR)CHITECTURE Essentials responds to this need through an interactive format that combines expert lectures, hands-on workshops, feasibility and design exercises, and a guided solar architecture tour in Rotterdam..
Rather than treating photovoltaics as an add-on to buildings, the course explores how BIPV can be planned, designed, manufactured and implemented as part of the construction process.

- Façade specialists
- Project managers
