Mar 5, 2024 | News

We are excited to share highlights from the recent kick-off meeting of the Enabling Massive Integration of PV into Buildings and Infrastructure (MASS-IPV) project, which took place from November 27th to 29th, 2023, in Freiburg, Germany. This pivotal event brought together 19 partners from 8 European Union countries and Switzerland, alongside the European Commission’s Project Officer, to embark on a journey toward sustainable energy solutions.

The hybrid event, organized by the project coordinator, Fraunhofer Institute for Solar Energy Systems ISE, featured dynamic presentations and discussions outlining the project’s ambitious work plans and initial strides. MASS-IPV aims to overcome barriers and deliver cost-effective IPV systems through collaborative efforts, setting the stage for innovation in the renewable energy sector.

The meeting fostered a shared commitment among consortium partners to drive innovation and promote sustainable energy solutions across Europe. It provided a platform for fruitful discussions, laying the groundwork for collaborative endeavours in the months ahead.

On the second day of the event, consortium partners had the opportunity to explore the Fraunhofer-Institut für Solare Energiesysteme ISE facilities and immerse themselves in the vibrant city of Freiburg, fostering informal networking and collaboration.

We extend our heartfelt thanks to Fraunhofer ISE for their exceptional hospitality, which significantly contributed to the success of the kick-off meeting.

Stay tuned for updates and developments as we work together to realize the vision of MASS-IPV and shape a sustainable future for generations to come.
